What do I do first?
We'd like all guests to stop by the welcome table to grab their name tag upon entering the courtyard and a catalog if the distributed catalog was left at home. The backs of the catalogs with guest bid numbers will be used for the live auction and the paddle raise.
All guests are encouraged to check-in the credit card they'd like to use to pay at the end of the night. Anyone who purchased tickets or purchased an online auction item can save their credit card before the event. You may change your preferred credit card at check in. This will expedite the check out process after the event. Check in will be located right next to the welcome table.
What’s for dinner?
Dinner will be catered by Rancho Cantina, a popular restaurant located in Lafayette.
What should I wear?
This years' theme is casual so dress comfortably or you may dress the Fiesta theme. (nudge-- dress the theme!)
What else is there to do?
The courtyard will have plenty of activities while you wait for your winning bid to close. There will be a selfie station (don't forget to #ncapauction on your favorite social media site), appetizers, game tickets to purchase, lots of fellowshipping, and more.
Is there something in my price range?
Definitely, we have items for all budgets. We'll have two games under the tent - our $30 Heads/Tails game and our $40 52 Card draw plus the Dessert Dash (see 'What's a Dessert Dash?').
The silent tables will feature many items of all price ranges while our silent Premier holds a higher price point and of course the Live auction caps off the night with our top selling donations. If you don't see something you like, there will be the opportunity to donate cash at the end of the night in our paddle raise in increments of $50 up to $5,000 (or more should you desire).
How much cash should I bring?
We will provide the ability to pay cash immediately for our raffles, Heads/Tails and 52 Card games, Dessert Dash. If those are the only ways you intend to participate, you should be okay to bring anywhere from $20-$200 and avoid checkout completely. We allow cash, check, Visa and MasterCard at checkout.
What's a Dessert Dash?
Roughly 35 desserts will be donated to the auction, enough for each table! Bidders at each table will individually write down their desired bid amount on a card and the cards will be tallied by table. The table with the highest total donation amount will be given the first choice of dessert from the dessert table. Then the second highest table may choose a dessert and that process continues until the last table chooses their dessert.
How do I checkout?
Guests may start by ensuring their credit card is on file via our online auction website or at check in. Sponsored tables will enjoy an escorted checkout (see 'What is escorted checkout?' below). By pre-registering their credit card, guests may checkout in one of two ways:
- Skip the checkout room and go directly to the pick up room. The checkout room is designated for those who need to pay via cash, check, Visa or MasterCard before picking up their items in the pick up room.
- Skip checkout and pickup altogether. Guests who choose to skip checkout and pickup may pick up all winning items on Monday, May 1, in WC 124 (down the hallway by the school office).
Do I have to stay for checkout?
Guests who have pre-registered their credit cards have the choice to either pick up their items at the end of the event or wait until Monday morning to complete the checkout process. All items must be picked up by the end of the school day on Monday, May 1.
What is escorted checkout?
One of the perks for purchasing a $1000 or $1500 table is to enjoy an escorted checkout. Our sponsors will be escorted following the paddle raise to the checkout/pickup area of the Worship Center. The escort will have invoices pre-printed so the guests can review their purchases on the way to checkout.
